It is my honor to welcome you to Generations College, an outstanding institution with opportunities for students to grow, explore, and truly discover the meaning of “Reinventing Yourself” by pursuing higher education at a great college.
When I was first introduced to Generations College I was amazed at what this small private associate degree-granting institution of higher education has to offer its students in the form of exceptional academic preparation, quality of life on campus, and cultural and community activities.
Founded in 1904, Generations is a college with a long history of great achievement and remarkable traditions. It’s a pleasure and a privilege to be part of the Generations family and to enjoy its legendary reputation as the first college in the country to offer a degree in court reporting and the first college to offer a paralegal studies program in the State of Illinois. Most importantly, it is exciting to work closely with its remarkable faculty, staff and students, and with alumni, parents and friends.
The administration, faculty, and staff at Generations are all dedicated to delivering academic excellence in an environment that supports student success. The faculty at Generations have impressive academic and professional credentials, in many cases bringing with them local and even national reputations in their field. They are committed in unrivaled ways to the success of each and every one of our students, allowing for the establishment of relationships that extend beyond their experience at Generations.
Our campus is one of the significantly wide-ranging experiences, cultures, and opportunities. I am confident that you will achieve your greatest intellectual potential while enrolled at Generations and that your complete educational experience will be nothing less than “revitalizing.” Your time at Generations will be one of growth and exploration, and no two student experiences at this college will ever be exactly the same. I challenge you to broaden your horizons, learn as much as you can, and become one of the many graduates of this fine institution that will lead the way for others to follow in your footsteps.
We welcome your interest in Generations College and in our community. I invite you to browse Generations’ web pages for information on all aspects of the college and the activities of its students, faculty, and staff. If you are in the Chicagoland area, we invite you to come to visit us, you are very welcome here.
Warm Regards,
Dr. Grace Alexis
