Generations College is a well-established, fully accredited, private, two-year college offering educational programs leading to associate degrees in Court Reporting, Paralegal Studies, Criminal Justice, Entrepreneurial Studies, Business Administration, and Business Administration with a Concentration in Church Administration. Generations College also offers a continuing education program for working court reporters in Communication Access Realtime Translation (CART) and Captioning. Junior college students who have earned college credits may transfer all or partial credit(s) toward earning an associate degree in Chicago with one of Generations College’s programs.

Generations College offers Chicago’s only National Court Reporters Association (NCRA) certified and Higher Learning Commission accredited court reporting program. The MC court reporting program is the nation’s first court reporting program and offers flexibility with both on-campus and online classes, one-on-one attention, the most up-to-date technology, and the tools to prepare students to take the state certification exams.
Generations was the first College in the state of Illinois to offer a Paralegal Studies program. Not only is the Paralegal Studies program at MC sought after because of its long history, but it is approved by the American Bar Association (ABA). Students enrolled in the Paralegal Studies program enjoy on-campus or online classes and can look forward to a wide range of career paths that include moving directly into the workforce as a paralegal or legal secretary or continuing their education to become attorneys.
Students in the Criminal Justice program complete a two-year curriculum studying crime, law, and the justice system. At Generations College you will receive hands-on instruction from highly qualified instructors. The Criminal Justice program at Generations prepares students to become police officers, security guards, correctional officers, detectives, and to work in crime scene investigation. Many students who graduate with this associate degree in Chicago will go on to complete a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice at a four-year institution.
Our Entrepreneurial Studies program is designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary to start, manage, and grow their own businesses. The curriculum includes courses on business planning, financial management, marketing strategies, innovation, and leadership. Students learn through a combination of classroom instruction, real-world case studies, and hands-on projects.
The Business Administration program educates students in the fundamental concepts, techniques and skills necessary to excel in various global business-related fields. Students receive a foundation in Business Studies including entrepreneurship, accounting, management, marketing, global business and economics. Many graduates of the Business Administration program at Generations College continue their education at four-year institutions. Upon graduation, students are prepared to enter fields such as human resources, marketing, retail management, and business management. We are always looking to advance our students, and that is why our program for a business associate of science degree in Chicago offers a number of pathway specializations for in-demand careers in the business field.
Our Church Administration program is designed to prepare individuals for effective management and leadership within religious organizations. The curriculum covers topics such as church operations, financial management, human resources, and strategic planning. Graduates are equipped to handle the administrative responsibilities of a church, ensuring smooth and efficient operations that support the organization’s mission and community services.
