I didn’t attend college directly after high school, instead, I decided to enter the workforce. I quickly realized that being just a great hard-working employee was not enough to propel me into an actual career; I needed a stellar secondary education.
Because I was a non-traditional student, it was important that I select a college that would be small in student to instructor ratio. This would afford me the opportunity to connect with my peers and my instructor. It was equally important that I found a college that was ABA-approved for its paralegal program. I chose Generations College.
Generations College fostered a welcoming environment where I wasn’t afraid to participate in classroom dialogue because I’d never attended college before. Each professor was a licensed attorney who brought real-life and real-world legal expertise into each legal subject taught. Every class did not just lecture on a subject, we participated in hands-on exercises and dialogues. Generations College provided me with the foundation needed for my continuing legal education and a career as an Employment Law & Corporate Finance Paralegal at Conagra Brands, one of North America’s leading branded food companies that’s headquartered in Chicago.
