Generations College students attain success through hard work, determination and dedication to the academic process. In order to maximize academic success, the students should adhere to the following rules and best practices:
- Attend and actively participate in class sessions.
- Arrive in class prior to or at the start of the scheduled class time.
- Do not disrupt the class by sleeping, eating or leaving the classroom abruptly without previous notification to the instructor.
- Avoid absences and/or tardiness as it will affect your grades and could negatively affect financial aid eligibility.
- Read all assigned chapters and complete all homework assignments prior to class and be prepared to participate in class.
- Always ask questions if the material is confusing or needs a more detailed explanation.
- Schedule and attend tutoring sessions with your instructor(s).
- Complete your own work, as cheating and/or plagiarism, including use of ChatGPT (or any other AI tools), are considered causes for forfeit of a scholarship/grant or permanent dismissal from Generations College.
- Conduct yourself in a professional manner, showing respect to faculty, staff and other students.
- Adhere to the Student Code of Conduct Policy in the E-Catalog.
- Dress appropriately to project a positive image.
- Refrain from using profanity.
- Adhere to all criminal statutes both on and off campus.
- Respect and follow the Generations Drug Policy that prohibits students from the unlawful manufacturing, distribution, dispensing, possession, use, or being under the influence of any controlled substance on Generations College premises or during any school-sponsored events.
- Silence all cell phones prior to entering the class and refrain from using cell phones for calls or texting..
- Follow the guidelines of the course syllabus.
- Provide Generations administration and faculty with all required information and materials within the designated timeline specified.
- Immediately notify the instructor, Program Director, and Dean of Student Affairs verbally and/or in writing of any incident or situation that may hinder academic success.
- Pay all outstanding balances by the end of each semester enrolled.
I understand that these expectations, and the rules set forth in the Student Code of Conduct and E Catalog are minimum behavioral standards for a successful college experience. I agree to follow these expectations during my enrollment at Generations College.
