A transcript is a comprehensive record of academic information that includes coursework, grades, credit hours, GPA, and Generations College degrees earned. Student records are confidential and governed by the FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) law. Generations College has several options for requesting transcripts. You can request a transcript in person or in writing. Transcripts can be picked up in person by showing a current picture ID or mailed to an address provided by the student. We cannot guarantee delivery by a certain date if a transcript is sent via U.S. Mail. Once an Official Transcript is sent to an organization or another institution, it is the property of such recipient. You may not request that the recipient return your transcript. Additionally, the recipient cannot forward your transcript to a third party.
No Transcripts (Official or Unofficial) will be processed until all financial obligations are met. If you have questions about holds, please direct them to the Dean of Finance and Operations.
We do not accept requests via phone, fax, or e-mail.
An Unofficial Transcript is one that does not bear the College Seal but contains all of the relevant academic information of a student while in attendance. Oftentimes, it is used for informational purposes.
Official transcripts are similar to Unofficial Transcripts in content, but bear the College Seal and include the Registrar's signature. Official Transcripts are sent to other institutions or organizations. However, students or alumni may request that an Official Transcript be sent directly to them so that they can hand-deliver or send it to a recipient by mail. The transcript will be in a sealed envelope and must remain unopened; otherwise, it will be voided.
Transcript request forms can be obtained from the Office of the Registrar or from the front reception desk. Fill out the transcript request form, sign it, and submit it. There is a $20 fee that can be paid in cash, check, and money order or via credit card.
Download the GC Transcript Request Form, fill and sign the form, and email it to registrar@Generations.edu. Once you have emailed the transcript request form, you must also submit your $20 (or $50 if rush delivery is needed) through our official PayPal account:

Include the following information:
- Your name (include all names under which your record may be filed)
- A current phone number
- Your social security number
- Your most recent period of attendance
- Total number of transcript copies you wish to order
- Specific addresses where transcripts are to be sent, including zip codes
- Your signature (your transcript cannot be released without your signature on the written request)
- Include a $20 check or money order payable to Generations College; credit card payments are not available
Expedited processing includes requests for two-day processing with pick-up at the Office of the Registrar or overnight shipping via Federal Express. Follow the instructions above to request an expedited transcript. The expedited fee is $50. Please note: Expedited transcript requests via Fed Ex are not delivered on weekends and cannot be sent to a PO Box.
Generations College is unable to release transcripts received from other colleges, universities, or high schools. Copies must be obtained directly from the issuing institution.
